Moving on Up

I haven't been around because I've taken a nosedive the past week. I'd work my 8 hours and then Id be down for most of the evenings. Energy level is gone. Passing clots 2 days ago finally got my butt in gear to call the Doc who wanted to see me asap. He's worried my path is headed towards the hospital.

No response for me on the Uceris foam. He wants me to stay on it and the Canasa but today he added in 6-mp and Prednisone. Depending what happens, looking at possibly going with Humira before tapering the steroid.

Any advice for the new lovely drugs?

I love my PA, more so than the GI Doc. He's so supportive, takes his time, has empathy - I really really like him.
He actually was going to prescribe Llada (that was the plan from last appt) but that went out the window when my symptoms really really increased this last week. Way more pain, numerous accidents,( thankfully at home)the clots, energy depletion, etc.
I actually have Proctitis so the oral meds don't respond as good as the rectal meds would, normally. Lost 7 lbs in the 2 weeks since Ive been to see him. I guess my pain kinda scared him? Cant even hardly sit on my bum, theres so much pressure/pain now.
I actually do have stool test kit here to do tomorrow. More labs have also been ordered for next week, some tests too for the possibility of Humira. My blood pressure and pulse were both high today - cause of the pain/anxiety.

all in all, feeling relieved? So hoping this turns around soon (don't we all when flaring). I've been a ball of nerves about this change this past week so I know that didn't help things, but I guess that's a part of the disease.

Thanks, iPoop. I didn't know the 6mp would take that long, thanks for the info. I am on 40 mg of Prednisone.
