Sudden attack

Hi guys

Im just wondering if any one has had a similar experience.

I was very ill in hospital for 16 days....... they kept telling me it was a viral infection.......

2 days later I ended up rushed for emergency surgery, had my total colon removed..... I was so ill before the surgery that the recovery took longer my bowel fell asleep, I was spueing green sick had ng tubes put down my throat.....

I was finally discharged 15 days after surgery, i was advised it was ulcerative colitis but unusual as the rectum was not affected?

Ive ended up with an illemstomy bag......

People I speak to keep saying you have uc for years, ive ended up with 1 or maybe 2 attacks and my colon removed...

Having a hard time trusting the docs or getting my head round this all...

Please if anyone has advice or reassurance

I did not know I had uc, Ive never had any steriods or drugs and the surgeon said it was that bad if the steriods did not work he was worried the colon would burst.

It just says the finding are that it was likely ulcerative colitis.

Yes I am able to get a reversal

I was consious but really not well, had not ate in 16 days and diareah was like 6_ 10 times during that perood
