I've heard that "significant looping" can make a scope difficult, but an experienced gastro should know what to do about it, such as increasing sedation, changing the patient's position on table, and 2 or 3 other possible interventions. Of course having to put these alternatives into play results in a more expensive scope when billing for the procedure gets done. / Old Hat (36 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
