I've just caught up with this one. I remember an old thread on reuteri where some said it really helped and others not.
I wonder if the reuteri is key in helping tryptophan in the production of seratonin and melatonin? Mabye there's something there related to why depression and melatonin disruption are high in IBD patients.
Just looking at this long article which says that Reuteri "eats tryptophan" - there's a lot of science there that I haven't yet taken in!
