Anyone have any idea what is going on with me?

A little context. I'm 14 weeks pregnant. It was a surprise. I have been in a very mild flare for about 6 months after a 6 month remission from a 2 year flare. I have 2 inch patch at my rectum/sigmoid causing issues.

At this point I am on 10 mg/kg remicade every 6 weeks, 50 mg 6mp, and uceris foam as needed.

I was able to taper the foam to every 3rd/4th night for over 3 weeks. Thought I was heading to remission last week. Then all of a sudden yesterday and today have had blood and mucus. I do have 2 decent sized internal hemmies but as far as I know they don't cause mucus.

I am only going once a day, normal formed stool, no urgency or pain. It just has streaks of blood all over it (some days less some days more) and when I wipe mucus with a tiny bit of blood streaked thru. I have some cramping before I go which is very mild which I also had in remission (my GI says the location of the patch could have caused some nerve damage from chronic inflammation).

I upped the foam starting today and my next infusion is 2 weeks from today.

I just worry about constant steroid rectal meds. And ps - rowasa stopped agreeing with me during my last pregnancy (increased frequency and cramping...not fun).

Any one have any idea what the heck is going on?? I'm so confused. I was flexed 5 weeks ago and the patch was the size of a nickel. How can something so small be causing such issues? Is the area refractory? Steroid dependent?

I don't know if I should change anything at this point...the rest of my colon looks completely untouched by disease. I LOATHE this patch...and the patch LOATHES me. Been over 2 years of battling 2 inches!!

If I recall there is a big hormonal shift around 14 weeks, right? It is the one that is supposed to stop the morning sickness (never did for me). Perhaps this is just that cursed patch's response to the hormones, which should, in theory, stabilize around this time. Hope this is just temporary, you deserve at least 1 pregnancy without major UC complications.

So the only issue is you see blood? I'm not sure what else it is causing by your post. Personally, I would not care about seeing a little blood as long as there are no other issues and you know it's just a tiny patch. Why make yourself go crazy over something that doesn't cause problems?

Mom- I thought there was a shift too. I'm hoping the morning sickness subsides. We just found out we are having a girl and this pregnancy has been so different from my boys. Like raging pms.

The blood literally happened over night. I was so stable. I thought the switch finally went off and I was headed for some calm waters...then bam!!!! Maybe you're right tho and the hormone shift is happening now. Hopefully I'll go back to where I was last week once it's over. Thanks for the encouraging words. Hugs.

Bull- I'm having blood and mucus. I never let it go longer than a few days before starting rectals regularly again so who knows where it could go. The blood scares me. In my head I see an open sore in my colon. I don't think that's healthy. Maybe I'm wrong?? Yes it is just a small patch. My gi calls it minor. I call it a menace. Maybe I need to alter my expectations. My gi has said if it was any where else in my colon I wouldn't know it was there. I get terrified it will turn into a full blown flare. That's what I don't want to happen. Don't you think?
