Hello all,
I've been in a solid remission for 18 months with remicade and imuran. We moved out of state last month and for the past week I've had some symptoms come up. I had a little 2 day blip which I attributed to IBS or a virus. But since then I've experienced the following:
- need to go as soon as I wake up (not urgent, I can hold it but it's right there)
- going 2 times every morning
- some mornings it's pudding, some it's solid followed by thin stools and some it's almost water and shoots out!
- awful stomach noises after eating.
- no blood, no mucous, no awful smelly has I get with the start of every flare.
When I typically flare I go 15-20 times all blood and mucous, urgency.
Saw my new GI right before this started andnhave colonoscopy scheduled for mid October. They discussed changing me from 6 weeks to 8 weeks for infusions but doubling my dose.
In the meantime before my remicade in 2 weeks i want to be proactive.
Choices
1) mesalmine rectal meds
2) fiber supplement
3) wait patiently for remicade.
4) chalk it up to IBS
Ideas? Advice?
Thanks,
Jill
