Really struggling. Sample came back above 3000

Without a diagnosis of IBD, this could be a re-occurring infection. It is very possible this is re-occurring or resistant c-diff infection.

What meds were used in past bouts? Was a scoping and biopsies done in connection with past bouts? What meds are you on now?

What is "incomplete" about the diagnosis? Is it just UV vs CD or is it IBD vs something else?

For now, eat as low residue as possible. As you doc if you can use moderate amounts of something to slow you transit (like 1/2 Imodium tablet).

Was it a fecal or blood test for inflammation that came back over 3000?

I had a sigmoidoscopy in 2012 after having a few episodes. They determined that it was ibd but really were not helpful in the least. Eventually my tummy became slowly better. However I was given Duloxetine at 30mg which seemed OK, it was then increased to 60mg 4 months ago and literally withing 48 hours this started. Called Drs several times and each time they may aswell have yawned, (I have fibromyalgia which means I seem to get patted on the head a lot!!) I started decreasing Duloxetine much to Drs irritation in the hope that it would alleviate the bowel issues etc. It hasn't! I'm now on 40mg Duloxetine. Dr finally requested a stool sample. I returned sample, results came back as "over 3000" so waiting for a emergency gastroenterology appointment but there are none in my area available at present and have been told I could be in for a long wait. On receiving my results I was prescribed Mesalazine. Taking Imodium causes so much pain it's counterproductive. I just really need some advice as I really can't carry on like this. I have had "accidents" as there was no way I could get there in time. I'm exhausted, feel constantly sick. Only eating tiny amounts. Bowel cramping which makes me double over. I feel so low. Sorry to be a downer. Thanks
