Getting up in the night, for me, is usually related to the time I eat and the quantity of food I consume. If I eat a lighter dinner a little earlier, it can help immensely. I am a very light sleeper overall, which doesn't help at all. I get up often, always have. If the wind blows the wrong way it wakes me.
The antibiotic is probably worth a try & a specialist with experience in pouchitis is an excellent suggestion. Perhaps there is something rx that would help. I've heard people mention tincture of opium... Have you tried adding fiber?
