Hello,
I have diagnosed Pancolitis in June and my first attack was on april 2017. After colonoscopy my diarrhea suddenly has gone.right now i go to toilet once a day with normal stool. After 3 months urgency toilet, tenesmus and blood has gone. But my biggest problem is Gas. Due to gas sometimes my bowel movements are rising and i feel urgency. Today again due to gas problem ı went to toilet urgently and i saw a little bit blood and mucous. So i feel much better after my first attack but is this gas problem show that my uc still active? I use only salofalk gran stix 3*1.

Welcome to the forum! Yes, it could be the start of an Ulcerative Colitis flareup. Gas can be a warning sign for some of us. Gas increases when we have only minor inflammation. Seeing blood in the toilet is another warning sign of active inflammation from an UC. Urgency is another warning sign.

Active inflammation can cause a variety of symptoms. Some symptoms are subtle like a little blood in toilet water or on toilet paper. Some symptoms are severe like frequent diarrhea. Flares can start minor and progress to severe if left untreated. Best to catch it early, and respond quickly.

I'd contact your gasteroenterologist-specialist doctor and tell him/her about your new symptoms. Adjusting your medications to higher doses or adding more medications is likely necessarily. Could be a temporary increase. Could be a permanent increase.

Thanks for reply. Yesterday I visited my doctor and he said you are in clinic remession and some syphtoms like gas and mucous probably caused by ibs.(he said UC patience could get ibs) İ will countine to use 3*1 salofalk and he added colidur for gas. Actually i consider to change my doctor. He seems underestimated this illnesssmile
