On the locking of Keith's post ...

These are extraordinary times in the U.S., and frightening at that-- because we have a Looney Tune running the country. If anyone paid attention, Senators Susan Collins & Bob Corker (both Republicans) have pointed this out in recent weeks!!!!!! Quoting the late Heather Heyer, murdered in Charlotteville, VA in August: "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention!" It's way past time for rational people to speak out & keep at it; as colonial patriot Benjamin Franklin said: "The price of democracy is eternal vigilance." Therefore, Keith's post should be unlocked though I do disagree with IAmCurious's most recent comments-- because the Clintons made mistakes, but not with the intention of hurting the poor, ill, & disadvantaged among our population, nor in persistently defaming other public figures, be it in the Congress or U.S. sports, as the present Prez does continuously. / Old Hat (37 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I don’t know why it was locked, my last two posts were about health care and insurance.

It would have been nice if it was left active, especially now that Trump has shortened the enrollment period, they will take the Healthcare.gov website down on Sundays for maintenance (busiest enrollment days, cut the advertising budget 90%, cut the outreach staff 95% and cut all insurance subsides. People will need to organize on their own.

They will try to repeal Obamacare again next year....so this will happen all over again on HW.

I saw an article today that the subsidy cuts will effect Trump States the most (70% of the insurance subsides go to those states) Trump is a psychopath and doesn’t care about anyone except for himself.

I agree with Old Hat, & Heather Heyer’s famous last words, if you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attention.

I welcome any discussion on the impact of lawmaker's decisions on healthcare in America. But when people from one side start calling the other side "evil" "lunatics" etc etc etc it's a bit much. I can't believe that thread was left open as long as it was. I think if you look at the thread objectively it's pretty easy to see why it was locked.

Has it been locked? It doesn't look locked to me... Was it unlocked? I've not contributed but been reading it with interest.

Perhaps one of us locked it by accident. It happens. I usually post a note regarding why a post is locked, or I warn before locking, that way no one wonders what happened.

Well, it is locked again-- and mainly due to the few posting who can't wait to flout their lack of empathy.
