Hi all I posted before about sudden loose stools and cramps whilst using pentasa enemas . I've seen my gp who prescribed prednisone foam enemas which I've been using for 3 days . The past 2 days I've had less pain and only going for bm twice without blood but they are still loose but today the pains and blood are back . I know I'm probably expecting miracles because the pentasa enemas worked within 2 days but I was wondering how long it would take to ease symptoms with the foam ? I'm not used to these symptoms I've never had them since diagnosis . I know each flare is different . My other question is could I use the pentasa enemas as well as the pred ? Because there's not a lot of foam it's not doing the same as the other enemas .

You ask the million dollar question, when will I feel better? It's a hard question with no real right answer. It could take 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 2-3 weeks, or not at all. It all depends on how much damage your flare has already done, and if the dosage of the steroid foam are sufficient to heal you and how fast!

"My other question is could I use the pentasa enemas as well as the pred?" Generally, yes, just space them apart. For example, take one in the morning and then the other in the evening.
