Hi. I've been trying ldn for the last couple weeks. I was steroid dependent before, Imuran and Mesalamine meds failed to keep my colitis in check but now, eventhough I'm still new and had some distruptions due to dosage increase, I am definitely seeing improvement, my bleeding and urgency was gone after a week no LDN. My energy levels had increased incredibly.
This was my last shot before I go to my doctor and ask him to prescribe biologics. I regret waiting so long to try this, for all people who think about giving ldn a shot, do it as soon as possible! You may experience a worsening of your symptoms during your first couple days or even a week but give it two weeks at the very least! you will probably feel weird or in some way different when you try it. Start really low! As low as 0.5 mgs and give it some time! I thought LDN doesn't have as high a success rate as the standard drugs but it does! Just because it's an approved med for autoimmune diseases doesn't mean it's not a real therapy, I assure you.
There is a Facebook group named IBD and LDN Chat Group so join it and ask away if you have any questions!
