Does anybody have experience with 6 MP and specifically with discontinuing 6 MP?
It was prescribed for my son. We started on 25 mg and then 50 mg. Achieved steroid-free remission for the first time after the initial diagnosis (Oct 2016). We take a bunch of other meds as well: Entyvio, balsalazide, Mesalamine enemas. Anyway, my son was in remission for a month or so, but then his ALT and AST got elevated and the doctor asked us to stop 6 MP for now. We did it 2 weeks ago. But today we got the latest blood test results. After 2 weeks of no 6 MP, ALT and AST actually went up.
Does anybody know how long does it usually take for ALT and AST normalize? Our platelets are very low as well
