TAKEDOWN

I do not know anything about that, but I did do kegels to try to exercise my bum between steps 2 and 3. I am really excited for you, and for anyone getting ready to get their takedown though. It is an incredible feeling of resilience. I have to say, of all the things I've done in my life, I never, ever, in a million years, thought I would do all THAT. Congrats to you for leaving UC in the dust. Congrats on a life of health and happiness to come. I just let my pouch do its thing. i think it stretches from "holding it" to some extent, but in the early stage, I just couldn't hold it at all. I wasn't like I was with urgency, I could make it to a toilet, but it was frequent for the first few weeks. After that, it slowed, and kept slowing until I felt like "okay, this is certainly better than pumping my body full of chemicals, and going to doctor after doctor, and nearly pooping my pants constantly", it's not perfect, but for me, I am very happy to feel like I am capable of doing anything again. For a while, the answer was always NO.
