I was deep into remission when I decided that I needed a colonoscopy since it had been some time since my last one. Soon I started having diahrrea again.
But when I looked at the ingredients of the prep I saw junk like maltodextrin, polisorbate 80, and other of my sure-fire triggers for inflammation. After a few days the bleeding dissipated.
So I am not surprised with your experience with Miralax. Miralax is polyethylene glycol (PEG), a petroleum-derivative compound that is made from ethylene glycol (ethane-1,2-diol), the main ingredient in
antifreeze. PEG can be found in a number of other products, including skin creams and personal lubricants, and as a food additive for anti-foaming purposes.

I'm not clear if you're still on the enemas...if so...continue them nightly for at least 3 more weeks while going through this phase.
I agree. Hopefully you are going through a temporary phase. Instead of Miralax you may want to increase the bulk of your stools with a soluble fiber such as psyllium found in Metamucil.
