I've had UC for 15 years not many flares last flare was in Dec 2016 had a CT scan with contrast didn't show any abnormalities just inflammation in the transverse colon. For the past 8 weeks I have bowel issues again and I've made myself sick worrying it's colon cancer I'm not really having flare symptoms no bleeding some urgency and if it's not dirreah it's in bits and pieces. My rectum feels swollen and pulsating sometimes. Can u flare without bleeding? I've not been eating panic attacks scared it's colon cancer. I'm having a colonoscopy in 10 days. Please can anyone give me some info on flaring without bleeding? I'm losing weight from not eating I haven't been losing only since I stopped eating. My rectum seems to be the main issue that's bothering me and it's hard to relieve gas without straining. Feels like something is in there it burns sometimes after dirreah as well

I'm not on any at the moment I'm just so terrified about all of this I've not had many flares and I'm panicking so bad my rectum is bothering me constantly like something in there and I've done gotten my anxiety so bad and panicking that I'm not eating. I can't do this disease it's just mentally too much

Absolutely, one flares without bleeding. usually, people determine that as THE affirmation, but inflammation happens in increments.

Eat.

Why are you not on meds?

I couldn't tolerate mesalamine drugs and they kept trying to push them on me as of now no meds, how do I get this under control til I get meds? I'm not eating cause it causes more discomfort and having panic attacks makes me nauseous

Nothing I know of except probiotics. Steroids? There are topical oral and rectal...Call your doctor and ask for some relief. As well, ask for stool sample kit to check for invaders.

First, you do not have cancer. Second, you're flaring so contact your gasteroenterologist and ask for a stool test to check for infectious causes to your symptoms. You're going to need some medications like steroid enemas or suppositories.

Thanks for replying I pray it's not cancer,I only go to the bathroom once a day but it feels so different then usual I'm not getting the urgency much but it's like the rectum isn't working like it use too hard to explain.like I don't empty all the way most of the time or dirreah. I'm so scared and thanks for replying

That's also a symptom of limited mild inflammation in the rectum.

What date is your c-scope?

Do you have any antispasmodics? Antianxiety like xanax or ativan?

I go on Monday 21st they set it back to following Monday, can it also feel like something is blocking me from using bathroom normally or hard to relieve gas? I have hydroxyzine for anxiety it doesn't help much take it three times a day. I also have mild very mild achiness in rectum not everyday but frequently

Those are also symptoms of flaring limited in the rectum. Annoying and painful.

Hope you can get ahold of your doc and ask for steroid rectal meds at the very least.
