Reading the article, the data did seem a bit misleading and toward a predrawn conclusion. Marijuana has been shown to inhibit growth on adolescent minds but then again I'm past the age group they used to prove their point. Pair that with the damage UC was doing to me and I was planning on buying THC edibles before I stumbled onto what worked for me.
THC is worth considering vs CBD alone in part for the motility mechanism though I could understand that some won't react well and may not like the high or the munchies. I do believe the motility factor is underestimated in D dominant UC which is what had me leaning toward thc.
