Is acute Vomiting pednisone withdrawal symptoms

My mother is in withdrawal phase of pednisone but from last week she has developed serious side affects like no sleep at all, frequent urination, uneasiness and today she is having acute vomiting issues. Is it also due to pednisone withdrawal.

Dosage 8mg
Started in may begining with 32 gradually decreased to 16 and now 8

I don't think any of those symptoms are from tapering down from prednisone. I would call her doctor.

If she just abruptly stopped taking it, then she might be in prednisone "withdrawal," but it sounds like she has been on a super slow taper.

Vomiting is listed as a withdrawal symptom. Her natural adrenal glands may be struggling to wake up again during the taper which can cause the withdrawal.

You need to make the dr aware of the frequent urination & vomiting. She can be at risk of dehydration which can become serious. With your mom being diabetic & on a steroid, what is her sugar levels like? Steroids can really play havoc with a person that is diabetic. It sounds like you need to keep a close eye on your mom. If the dr is not of much help, take to an ER to be checked out.

She got her sodium alarmingly low, so admitted to a facility where she is given saline. Did someone knows why Tolvaptan is used, she has been prescribed for the same as well other thank her regular UC meds
