Remicade dosage

Is anyone on the forum taking 10MG every 4 weeks?

I've been on Remicade for about 18 months, started with 8 weeks 5mg, then 10mg, then 6 weeks 10 mg.
I'm mostly stable and was able to drop prednisone after moving to 10mg. No urgent trips to the toilet except for mornings and I was able to go back to almost normal life including working out.

My concern is that the bleeding never really went away 100% and about 10 days before my infusion it intensifies that makes me think the remicade is only good for about 5 weeks in my system.

My GI tells me that he doesn't have anyone on 4 weeks/10MG and he sees a lot of patients for UC.
I also did Prometheus test after the 5th week and there are no antibodies to remicade.

Also taking 75mg AZA and once in the while rectal mesalamine which seems to stop the bleeding temporarily but makes me extremely fatigue which is weird because oral mesalmine doesn't.

I didn't, I had terrible side effects from remicade and couldn't really play with the doses as much as we would have liked to.

Hopefully someone has some experience and can help you!

AZA and mesalamine are very different drugs. Actually 75mg of AZA is a low dose. I wonder if you're in the therapeutic range for that. Have you been checked? Maybe an increase there would get you to remission, and you wouldn't need to get more frequent doses of remicade? Remicade, while an amazing drug for IBD, can have severe side effects. The higher the dose, the lower your immune system.

There's been posters here who've been on 10mgs per kilogram each 4-weeks. They're not regular, daily posters though.
