I eat it daily.....mostly romaine or field greens with coleslaw on top. There are different types to choose from that have good nutrients....icegerg lettuce has little flavour or nutrients. But in saying that, it's added fibre if one is constipated.
When Im flaring, I don't have large amounts just because it can increase bms and sometimes discomfort. These arent UC symptom related....just by action of what greens do.

You know I am surprised at those of you who can eat lettuce/salad. What is wrong with me? I can pains sometimes from cooked spinach. I started out with C diff so I wonder if I just have post infectious IBS or something. I miss salad so much but am afraid it will give me pain.

When I was first brave enough to eat salad with UC, I ate small iceberg salads because I felt those leaves had enough substance that I could really chew them up well. Later, (and as Q said, when not flaring) I could eat most any kind of greens.

I eat lettuce pretty often without issue. I can't really eat raw kale unless it is baby kale and raw cabbage does not agree with me either.

When flaring, not at all. In remission, pretty much daily.

Varies person-to-person for some it's fine and for otgers it causes troubles. I'm fine with it. Try and see. There's no universal list of no nos for everyone with uc lol.

I'm typically good with lettuce, although I am hesitant to have it multiple days. Cooked spinach though, is one of my go to's! Love it with garlic mixed in

I can have a leaf of iceberg on a good day. Any other kind and in 20 minutes I am cramping and miserable in the bathroom regretting.

Do raw veggies bother you? Does fiber bother you? Lettuce is both of those things.
