I've seen that some have had good results with patches, gums, or e-cigs but usually in high doses. I've also seen cigarette users say that high doses of nicotine couldn't give them the same effect as just a few cigarettes. I've always thought then it must be something in the cigarettes and smoking that is also helping and I think I've figured it out. Tobacco companies add ammonia to cigarettes which helps to deprotinate the nicotine which allows it to be readily available in the body and move across tissue membranes (the colon!). This also explains why American spirit cigarettes use tobacco that has 6-12x more nicotene content than tradition cigs but users do not notice a drastic difference compared to the convential cigs. It is lacking the ammonia additive (due to it's all natural claim) that makes it more available in the body! Essentially this would ensure more reaches all areas of your body and especially your brain. What I've come to realize is that the new craze in vaping is that instead of using nicotene they are using nicotene salts which give this same effect because you can tolerate higher doses than convential e-juice because it is not basic. This closes resembles smoking effects and likewise will get you addicted fast. This is common in the juul pods that so many high schoolers are becoming addicted to because it delivers nicotene so well and at high doses/puff. It is actually shown and been designed to mimic exactly the plood plamsa levels of smoking. For those who use nictoene have any of you tried nicotene salt as opposed to nicotene? Below is a link to ammonium and nicotene delivery for cigarettes as well as nicotene salts.
