No one post surgery has "normal stools" I don't think. Stool gets compacted, and liquid absorbed mostly in the colon, without one, you will always have looser stools & more of them. I eat everything personally. I try not to worry a ton about consistency, but mine varies between liquid, and hard pebbles. I can go quite a while between, but I tend to go more at night than in the day. In the day, I can go in the AM and not go again until late in the day. At night, after dinner, sometimes I will go a few times. I also get up at night to go once usually.
