Yes, and that's why it's my chore to clean the toilet bowl each week. My dear wife says: how could I do that to the toilet, there's no way she's cleaning that mess, and it's up to me to clean it. But within a single poop, we can have a variety of degrees of firmness: some truly solid, some slightly loose, and others that are are very loose. We can have a lot of gas.

Hopefully he can trust farts, and not shart himself by mistake sometimes. That's the worst.

Quincy, back on the rentals they work wonders for him. He is also not bothered about doing them and very close to doing them himself 😃. Doctor suggested next scope (a good few years away) if the cecal patch is clear (it was very mild apparently last time) then he could perhaps just go on a rectal maintenance rather than the granules as well.

We have stopped bothering him about asking him how, as it’s no good for him but we only goes once a day roughly, and knows to mention if there is blood.

The doctor has suggested perhaps a suppository as well if it was to start again as he believes it’s the lowest inflammation that the young guy suffers with, and it’s apparently rather stubborn.

He has his 6 month blood check as well next week as well as another stool test, so far so good with both these tests to fingers crossed it remains the same.

Started cooking more with cucurum in food etc, not sure if that has also helped .... complicated illness as to what does/does not help.

There's a sulfasalazine syrup, as well much like a cough syrup.

Pentasa capsules can be opened and sprinkled over yogurt or apple sauce and eaten. I wonder if you could do the same with salofalk granules? Check the instructions.

Although the syrup is an awesome option....I wouldnt suggest the sulfasalazine considering he's doing well on straight 5ASA.
He can try using a straw with the granules. Stick with what is working.

Wait....before taking my suggestion about the straw, are they to be taken straight or in water? Because if straight, then it's a stupid suggestion. I should have checked first.

Can they be mixed in something that can be straight swallowed such as apple sauce or honey or pudding, etc?

Sounds like a good plan. Maybe put them in a small amount to be swallowed easily...then he can enjoy the rest of the yogurt afterward.
