Assessing the exact amount of blood in our stool is rather difficult for you/i with any amount of accuracy. For a typical UC flare, we loose between a teaspoon and a tablespoon of blood a day (24-hour period). So, we're not talking huge blood loss in most instances. As for UC, we're talking microscopic bleeding from small ulcers smaller than pin-heads that are scattered about the intestinal surface. Given, a blood thinner might slightly increase that number.
A few drops of blood mixed with water, or loose stool can make it look like a blood bath. Seen it myself.
If you're worried, get a Complete Blood Cell Count, blood test and make sure you aren't anemic. Generally, excessive bleeding results in anemia, and we can feel weak, tired, etc.
