Thank you so much for your great advice. I feel so alone in this. I did reach out to a retired psychiatrist that was listed as a patient reference at Northwest. He really was kind of vague but said to always use a pharmacy approved by PharmChecker. I've looked at Northwest although they are not on PharmChecker. I spoke with a rep at CanadaPharmacyOnline where the Canasa is $95 for 30 and manufactured by one of the manufacturers that I have samples of here. They will not ship if temperature is above 77 degrees here in NC. Have you by chance ever heard of them?
Using GoodRX at Publix pharmacy generic is $275. Pharmacist was very nice and down to earth. Said he had a couple people using the generic with no problem.
I tried to call Northwest over the weekend. Will try them in a few minutes. And, look at the others you gave me. Thank you so much. You'll never know how much you're quick response means!
You bring up another aspect that I hadn't written about
but have looked into: 'Verification' sites for "Canadian" pharmacy-referral-services. They purport to review them to ensure they're legitimate, sell legitimate drugs, and won't steal your identity. Which are all great things to review, but the question then changes from "should I trust this random website selling pharmaceuticals?" to "Should I trust this random website reviewing other drug websites?
PharmacyChecker.com says it is run by an American MD and American pharmacist. As far as I know no US laws regulate pharmacy-referral website reviews. So the question is do you trust those two guys?
https://www.pharmacychecker.com/aboutus/PharmacyChecker also is a bit confusing in that it lists pharmacies that it approves on its site here,
https://www.pharmacychecker.com/online-pharmacy-ratings/, but there are more sites that it approves that you can't find directly on their website. For example, TotalCareMart.com is not listed on the Pharmacychecker.com website under "Verified Online Pharmacies" but TCM does have the pharmacychecker.com seal, and if you click it it brings you here, where Pharmacychecker does say they are verified:
https://www.pharmacychecker.com/pharmacies/seal/5844aae6-352f-4554-acbd-b157ed10ff35/Aside from PharmacyChecker there's another private entity called CIPA which also purports to review international-pharmacy-referral-services. I can't find any actual licensed doctors or pharmacists putting their name on CIPA, so who knows if you can trust them.
