Skin issues are pretty common with us as a whole: dry itchy skin, psorasis, eczema, contact-dermatitis, etc. I had contact-dermatitis a couple times, did the steroid cream, and changed my soaps, shampoos, and laundry detergent to hypoallergenic/safe for psoriasis people which worked. Our immune systems are confirmed-crazy as they attack our intestines and get bored and attack skin, eyes, and other things at times. Sometimes it is related to UC as an extra-intestinal manifestation. Otger times it is a second autoimmune condition as they can come in 2's or 3's for some of us.
Try treating it a bit like contact-dermatitis. No scaulding showers, non-scented mmoisturiser after toweling off, use hypoallergenic soaps/shampoos.
Mine looked like eczema (raised red patch rash) but with an atypical distribution pattern (around shirt colar, shoulders, and on torso sides underneath armpits. Tge cause was a suden allergic reaction to my irish spring bar soap that I had been using for a long time prior.
