Have you tried the boiled white rice, banana, applesauce, toast routine? (With egg, plain chicken, or fish added.) Generally I haven't been bothered post-scope because my gastro is a master at suctioning excess gas out at end of procedures. However, I did have problems due to the internal hemmies at my 2 most recent c-scopes, plus the Propofol seemed to cause me some muscle discomfort in legs this time & overall fatigue for 5 days post-scope. This time it happened that I already had office visits scheduled a month post-scope with both internist & gyn-onc so I mentioned the Propofol session to each of them, and they both replied that there is the possibility of a reaction to Propofol. about 7-8 yrs ago it was tauted as a huge improvement over the so-called "twilight" sedation (Versed + Demerol combo), but it seems that we IBDers are super-sensitive to all kinds of chemicals, alas, so whatever the docs infuse us with, we can still have problems that don't crop up in most other adult patients! Hang in there, go easy with diet for at least a week to see if that gets rid of the D. (In remission I can still get it after raw produce or rich desserts.) / Old Hat (38 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
