ballon dilation

This “stricture” didn’t just develop quickly, I was inER last year about righted sided pain and they said I was backed up with poop. They did a CT scan and didn’t mention a stricter. Even this last report said “ lots of stool, consistent with a stricture”
I’ve been bloated a long time and now finally, doing enemas twice a day and switched to lialda I’m hardly seeing any blood. But I can’t pass a whole lot of stool yet. I’m doing miralax, colace, cod liver, aloe, soft foods.
I live in a town where’s there’s NO GI or OBGYN. My GI at U of M says try to get in to see local doc for balloon ASAP, I’m said there is none, it’s only you I see!
Because I’m a complicated case, I feel no one wants to help.
So I told the nurse there is no GI here in my town, the RN going back to my GI at U of M and asking him if he will do the balloon Dilation.
So hard finding GI that cares about a complicated case.
Did anyone have RELIEF after a dilation? Also, would METAMUCIL be the worst since it bulks?or help

Yes I have Perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease is what Mayo said, . No called back from 3 doctors I called today about the BDE

I've heard a number of positive stories about balloon dilation, so good luck. Sounds like you found a local physician.

Which U of M are you referring to.....there are many ;-)

Yes, you should be able to tell a difference, opening it up allows things to move through better. It may take a bit for things to reset a little, good luck with the procedure.

Will I notice huge difference in passing stool after i get this done?
