Interesting:
Auto-brewery syndrome or gut fermentation syndrome is a condition in which ethanol is produced through endogenous fermentation by fungi or bacteria in the gastrointestinal (GI) system. Patients with auto-brewery syndrome present with many of the signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication while denying an intake of alcohol and often report a high-sugar, high-carbohydrate diet.

I saw an episode of this condition on something like "Diagnose Me". Very interesting!

When I first started to get yeast infections from long term antibiotic use (3 years) for pouchitis I think I got similar effects from this whenever I had a drink or two and I'd get really drunk (I can usually handle a few drinks without issues). My urine would always smell like bread or beer. I would crave sugars.
Once I started to treat the yeast infection and go off antibiotics for a week at a time then I didn't have this problem.
A drink or two would hit me like a ton of bricks and I'd be almost a fall down drunk.
