I am way more nervous than I have been starting other medications. I go next Thursday to get premliminary blood work done and to pick up samples so I can get started while we wait for insurance approval. I have talked about parts of this before, but background is that for the last 4 infusions I have gotten a sore throat 2 to 3 hours afterwards for the rest of the day. The last infusion the sore throat went away with a coughing fit. I felt way worse than usual the day after, and about a week later, started terrible muscle aches, fatigue, and general pain that only lifts a bit here and there. My GI was concerned because my esophonils doubled from last time. After I told him what I have been experiencing, he agreed wholeheartedly that my Entyvio antibodies seem to be catching up with me. Colitis wise, I am flaring. Pain and bleeding is easing a bit in response to me uping Qing Dai, but still going 6 ish times, urgency, tenesmus, bleeding. I expected to be flaring terribly before going off Entyvio, so it feels like I am just running through the meds even though I know staying inflamed all the time is not good. Anyways, I see some pretty positive stories on here regarding xeljance. Anyone know how long it might be before my body calms down from the Entyvio?
