Hi. I haven't been here for a long time. I've had UC for many, many years. Diarrhea every day for over 20 years. I was crying on the toilet from pain every morning and typically 4 BMs. My body doesn't handle meds well so I've had to make do with Asacol. I've also started with, often daily, migraines for over 10 years I was really scared to try the new migraine injection medication but my GP gave me a sample of Aimovig which seemed to help reduce the migraines. Thing is, soon after my first injection, my UC and IBS became so much better! No more crying on the toilet, typically 1-2 BM a day and I can eat fruit and vegetables again after 20 years of having to avoid them as they caused even worse diarrhea. OK, I kind of NEED the fruit and vegetables to offset the constipation from the Aimovig, but there is obviously a severe decrease in intestinal inflammation on this med!
I'm concerned because my script
company just called to say they can't fill the Aimovig script
and I could do an appeal... Hell, I just had this happen with Asacol a couple years ago. I had months of trying different options, none of which worked. And this particular med not approved for help with the thing I really need to keep taking it for. More doctor calls tomorrow.
