Remicade + Methotrexate and Covid Vax

I have had right sided pancolitis for 13 years. Initially controlled by Lialda and 6MP. However I discontinued 6MP and flared and when I began again it no longer worked.

I’m on standard Remicade dose every 8 weeks and was just told that I’m developing antibodies. However, I’m having no symptoms. My GI Dr wants to put me on 12.5 mg oral methotrexate weekly to hold off further antibody formation.

I just had my second Pfizer shot on Friday. Minor arm soreness and tiredness, but otherwise good. My dr agreed for me to not start methotrexate until 2 weeks post vax to maximize vaccine effectiveness.

Anyone on this combination? Anything I should know / consider? Is it better to ask for injection vs oral methotrexate? Do I ask for folic acid supplement?
