Update..and first Entivyo infusion.

So, just had my first infusion this past Wednesday and it went well. Um, side effects? Nothing that I know of. First of all, I am off all the meds, (Prednisone, Rowasa and Proctofoam) now just the Entivyo, stool sample test in two months and the next GI follow up in 6 months followed by the next colonoscopy in July of next year.

With that said, this has been a weird flare as I did lose some weight (normal for me) no real urges like some I had in the past plus my colon is in the worst shape as ever, hence the hospital stay about three weeks ago. The only thing now, is that I still see some blood in the stool (not much) but wonder if it could be an internal hemmie? But, that is normal for me as well. Doctor didn’t seem too concerned. Still on a low residue diet for a while longer. Said she wanted the Entivyo to start working as it takes a while as I read. My thing is, would any of the side effects if it were to happen, already happen by now or could it still happen? I am still shaky from the Prednisone as I assume that takes a while to clear out of your system?

So, that’s the new news. Pretty much back to normal for the most part with the intermittent back aches or the tenderness after you go. I don’t know how they would tell if the Entivyo is working unless by the stool sample test in two months and any blood work? HMMM?
