Buscopan for cramping

Dear Forum Members

Is it safe to take Buscopan to ease stomach cramping (and that horrible feeling) with UC ?

I asked my GI for something to ease the cramping and he prescribed Colospa (Mebeverine). But that gives a very mild relief while I get better results with Buscopan. I also felt that Buscopan is not very widely used in my part of the world - almost all GIs recommend Colospa and therefore the query

They are both antispasmodics and prescribed for what you are having...what is the dosage and the directions for use of the Colospa?

Are you meaning actual stomach pain or intestinal or both?

You could ask for dicyclomine...works amazingly for me.
