Hi there - long story short I was without my mesalamine suppositories for about
3 weeks. Not ideal, I know. I was just able to start back on them again last night (Saturday), but this morning I'm having that familiar stomach "ache," gas," and am passing mucus (once with a tiny hint of blood.)
I'm hoping the symptoms clear up now that I've got my suppository script
. I have been in a "remission" for about
2 years prior to this, so it seems odd to me that I would be flaring for any other reason then missing the suppositories, but then again the stomach pain seems like it wouldn't be caused by this? Idk, just looking for any opinions I suppose! Other than the suppositories I am on 4 mesalamine pills, turmeric, and visbiome.

UC can be really complicated - but sometimes it can be really simple -
in your case, it seems like option b -
hopefully the ship with get back on course soon

Seems probable it's a flare...especially with you nstating it's old familiar.
I'm assuming you had no interruption re oral mealamine?
It's good you have the suppositories now. Keep us updated on how you're doing.

That’s correct, no change in any of my other meds. I’m really hoping I can turn it around without needing prednisone or anything of the sort, but we’ll see! Thank you for your support ❤️

I suggest you request 4g retention enemas considering your flare is very mild at this point...best to do it asap.
