Remicade moved.

Hey guys, Hope all is well.
I've been feeling unwell as I've started remicade in Oct last year. I'm going in tommorow but nurse said the last infusion was at 1000mg a once off and now deciding what to do!
What's 1000 mg terminalogy?
From my understanding your on 5mg,7mg or 10mg per kg
Very confused..
My experience with remicade was fine up until loading doses finished. Ever since then infusions were bought forward every 6 weeks and now Ive felt one week short. Hmmmm confusing.

Seems unusual that they did that. Your doc must want to jolt your system. How bad are your symptoms? If you are ok after your infusions but they wear off before your next infusion, the max frequency is every 4 weeks and the max dosage is 10 mg/kg. You may want to try that before moving to another medication.

Key question -- are you better than what you were when you started Remicade? If so, you may need to adjust dosage/frequency to get to remission. If not, then have the discussion about your options with your doc.
