I'm glad to hear it's likely not serious and that you are getting in to see several doctors about it! That's always a relief to find out something isn't likely a major problem.

Good news the x-ray confirmed nothing serious going on. Hope the inhaler and meds ultimately help. Suggestion...rinse your mouth and gargle with water after using the steroid spray so that you don't get a candida infection in your throat.
