Definitely focus on taking your meds and not missing any doses! This is so important when you have a chronic disease. I have aways been anal about taking my meds because I don’t want to flare but even with that level of commitment, it does not always work. Maybe add it to your daily to do list. I always have it written down in my journal and put a line through it after I take each medicine.
Aside from this, I have IBS in addition to UC so my poop varied a ton the entire time I was in remission. My scope was always good besides the lead pipe colon and IC valve erosion so my poop was never normal. I varied between diarrhea, very soft poop and constipation the whole time I was on Simponi. I rarely had “perfect poops” but I never did before my Uc diagnosis either. Also, having covid several times changed my poop and the smell permanently so that is also something to consider. All this to say that it may just be something you ate or stress or missing the dose. Just be as proactive as you can.
