Well guys I had another depressing GI visit. I dont know what to do anymore in all honesty. I asked my GI today
how much of my colon was infected. He said the whole entire thing. I said ok isnt that dangerous. He said no not
in your case because you dont have Crohns or Ulcerative colitis. I asked him what do I have ? He said its just
colitis now but it will branch into Crohns or UC with time. We just have to give it time. He said there are a lot
of bacteria in our colon. But I have a genetic defect which is not fixable. The only way I can manage this is by
taking my medication and controling it. I asked him if there has been any medical advancements. He said no and he
said he thinks there wont be any for the time being. He said there is something in my body that is attacking me
to be ill like this. I said then why has all the tests i have done so far come back negative. He said your biopsies
came back saying chronic colitis all over the entire colon.
I asked him could it be parasites or an infection. He said no it cant be parasites because the biopsies came back
saying its chronic colitis. If it was a parasite the Flagyl wouldve killed it and when we did the colonoscopy the
biopsies would come back saying acute colitis. Because before anything i was given Flagyl which he gave me by
accident and it ended up working. I also told him all of this happened after I threw up 10 times after eating
shrimp and i went to the ER and they gave me Fleet to drink for i dont know what reason and i threw up even more.
He said at times gastro can cause the disease to activate.
I told him that when I was on Flagyl it helped and I gained a couple of pounds and he noticed it as well
since he takes my weight at every visit. Right now im at 45 kilo. He said im not suppose to loose any weight. He
told me its either because im not eating properly or I have something else. I told him well i dont eat properly
becaue i go to the bathroom and also that I cant stop urinating. I eat a piece of toast and i urinate right after.
He said that isnt normal and that cant be and he said its wierd. I showed him the place around my stomach where
my skin color has changed and he said well did you get less sun this year? I was like look its a patch its lighter.
He said its wierd. Then he said to take 5 Asacols a day instead of 4. He wrote me another prescription of Flagyl
since it worked the first time. But will it work again ?? I hope so. Then he gave me Pantaloc for I dont know
what reason. I told him that when i take Flagyl last time i was knocked out. Its really strong. He said its not
that strong and that it shouldnt have that effect. Then he couldnt remember if the dosage was 2 or 3 times a day.
So he said take this maximum dosage of 3 a day and then if you feel sick take 2.
He also said that when I gave in my fecal fat test there wasnt much stool in it. I told him yes thats because
I had just finished my dose of Flagyl and like i told you before it helped me and i was eating mcdonalds,
drinking milk, eating chocolate and wasnt going to the bathroom a lot. He looked at me as if i was either making
it up or there was something wrong with me.
Whats wierd i found about today is that he says chrons disease and UC and colitis is all auto-immune. He has not
ordered a stool culture at all for me nor do i care because i will send it to a parasite lab in the coming future
after my Flagyl. I have been doing a lot of research and it seems that crohns might be an infection and im really
hoping it is. And it seems that UC or colitis they think is an infection as well but havnt pinpointed it or it
might indeed be genetics. But i got depressed after i saw him.
Well let me know what you guys think. I can really use your suppose and feedback right now. He is a young intern who after every
appointment goes and asks his attending questions. and today he came back after 10 minutes.
Take care guys. Oh and how are all of you feeling. Anything new? Im gonna start researching again ill let you know of any new sites I come across
