Hi,
I wonder could I get an opinion from some of the regulars on here.
Generally I have very healthy fingernails and toenails. Lately I've noticed a yellow-brownish colour on 2 of my fingernails. The rest are in perfect shape. I've recently had CAT scans of all my major organs and numerous blood tests which revealed that I was in perfect health (apart from my hypersensitive colon). I'm assuming therefore that the yellow-brownish growth might be the result of a fungal infection. Now the thing that alerted me to this is that the two fingernails that have this colour are the ones that come into contact with my anal region when I use toilet wipes after a BM. Generally I am a super hygenic person - always wash and soap my hands etc.
I'm just wondering whether its possible that a fungal infection in the bowel has been transferred to a fingernail fungal infection. I've never fully bought into the Candida argument. I have eliminated a lot of sugar from my diet and used some anti - candida supplements for a bit. I've noticed big improvements in my BMs over the last 2-3 weeks. But to be honest I haven't stuck rigidly to the anti - fungal diet / supplements.
Any comments would be great
D
