Pro biotic not needing refrigeration

I think I read a few weeks ago a comment about a pro biotic that does not need refreigeration.  Kindly tell me the name, manufacturer and if I have to go to a special health food store or it is OTC at CVS/Walgreens etc.

I'd like to get some before we go away.  Thanks.

Im not sure which Probiotic it was that you were reading about but I take FLORASTOR Probiotic and it says right on the box that it does not require refridgeration.  I was able to pick it up at Safeway (in Canada) so Im sure if you called around, one of the major chain grocery stores (in the States) with a pharmacy will probably carry it.  It is a little more expensive but not too bad.

I take the probiotic FloraQ, which also does not require refrigeration. You can find it over the counter at various pharmacies, and my pharmacy will order it overnight for me if they run out. It's around $30 for a month's supply.

I take Jarro-dophilus EPS. It does not need refridgeration. I get it from iherb.
I have also used Culturelle, which does not need refridgeration. It is available at many places including Wal-Mart. However, Target does not carry it.
I have also used GNC's probiotics. They also do not need refridgeration. Make sure to stay away from the super one that has FOS in it - it causes GAS!

I use Nutrition Now PB-8 Probiotics that you can get online through amazon for cheap, or at GNC for lots of $$$.
It says it doesn't need refrigeration, however, my GI has told me that all Probiotics should be refrigerated when possible.
Obviously that's not always possible when traveling, but when you can and at home you should keep them refrigerated.

Super - thanks for the info I'll check them out....yes we do refrigerate the acidophilus at home but it is nice to have one for travelling...................

he has a bunch of free samples FloraQ2 and takes one a day. Is that sufficient and we don't need anything else then???? When we get back we would need to get more of the Flora Q or equivalent....don't want to sound cheap but I would like whatever is helpful and the lowest price. As you all know it does get expensive even with decent insurance.

Can he be taking too much if he takes something with the Flora Q??

I don't know that you can take too much of a probiotic.

Pro-bio is the one dookie mentioned. It is also available from iherb.
