Hey! I remember recently you posted about getting really nauseous and having to lay down. Did you ever figure out what happened? I was in my son's playroom organizing today and I was fine one minute and then wham I swear I was either going to throw up or pass out. Definitely not preggers but have no clue what happened. I drank a ton of water and had some m&ms (in case it was blood sugar dropping). I have been laying down for the last 90 minutes but I still feel nauseous. Weird, huh??

Yikes! Scary, huh?

I still have no idea what caused my episode. We have an HMO here and I'm STILL waiting on a new card so that I can make a doctor's appointment. Frustration!

Were you maybe bending over for a long time or sitting for a long time while you were "playing" with the toys? And then got up suddenly? Maybe an issue with vertigo?

It's really weird 'cause my mom said that her aunt was just diagnosed with some disease that dizziness is the main symptom and she's ALWAYS dizzy. I can't even imagine!!

your aunt might have something called minnears ( imight not have spelled that right) my best friends mother has that, and she is always dizzy.
i used to have the same problems ya'll are having, noone ever figured mine out either, My husband seems to think it is something (he's a nurse) that has to do with a nerve in the base of you spine that does something to your blood pressure, i think it's called "vagaling"(again not sure of the spelling)

summerstorm - that disease you mentioned sounds like what my mom said it was called - i guess i have some research to do! Thanks for the info on both :)

My wife has Meniere's disease and it can be really hard to live with. It's an inner ear disease and her's progressed to the point that, for about a year, she had a vertigo attack 3-4 times a week, sometimes with vomiting. With each attack she had to take medication and go to bed for 3-4 hours. It has improved now to the point that she works full-time and hardly ever has vertigo but still takes medication to help prevent attacks.

I looked up the vagaling (fancy name for fainting) and oh my gosh! does it sound like what happens to me!!!

As soon as I can get into a doctor (gotta love the HMOs!) I'm going to have this checked out!

Thank you SO much for the info!

Edited to add:  Usually my faints are caused by being too warm.  I'm curious to see if low blood sugar plays a role as well.
