Okay - so we moved in August. I honestly thought I'd have my medical stuff straightened out in September. Here it is November and I still don't have a PCP! I'm over due for my blood work and I'm running out of meds. I'm totally frustrated!
My old GI has been great about my Aciphex and Asacol prescriptions. But now that the Imuran one is due, they're asking for blood work. I know that I can call and explain that my HMO is taking super long to get me anything - including a card with the right doctor's name on it.
I'm sure I can make everything work, but I'm wondering why when I have the best of intentions, everything gets strung out and goes haywire! I guess I just needed to vent to someone - my husband surely doesn't understand that deep down I'm totally freaked about running out of meds.
Oh - compound the whole situation with the fact that we're leaving next Friday for 10 days. Plus I just started a new job on Monday. How am I supposed to deal with taking time off to run to the doctor (if I can get in eventually in the next week) plus take off five work days. My employer is totally awesome with the five days off - but I don't want to take advantage with the doctor's appointment - which I'm sure they'd understand!
Whew! Feels better just to get that off my chest.
BTW - new job is the reason I haven't been on as much as I would like lately.
Hope all are well!
