Mouth Sores.

I have been taking Imuran for about three weeks now and read on-line that one of the side effects is mouth sores.  Is this true?  Also, could the mouth sores be from the colitis and where exactly would you experience these mouth sores (like on the roof of your mouth or the side of your mouth, entire mouth)?  Would you experience side effects right away from Imuran or would it take awhile?

Mouth sores can be a symptom of having IBD, I never heard about it being a symptom from Imuran but nothing surprises me...I used to get them awful bad but since taking probiotics daily for the last few yrs I havn't had the mouth sore issue anymore.

Yeah, they're probably just from the IBD.  That was the first thing my original dx doc asked me to figure out what I had pre-scope. 

There is a product called peroxl (I think that's how you spell it) on the mouthwash/toothpaste ilse.  White bottle, in a box.  It's mouthwash and peroxide together (without the gagging) to help heal stuff like that.
