After Prednisone therapy

Anybody feel stiff and sore in any of their joints after the use of prednisone for UC control? Pain and new problems for use of this drug? I cannot find info for the after-affects of this drug anywhere.

yes, very common from what I've read from numerous sites.

Joint pain is definitely a side effect of pred. I had a horrible time w/ my hips and knees while on pred. I did 60mg for 3 days my last flare and my knees hurt so bad my hubby would have to get me out of the bed. I suggest heating pads and remember no ibuprofen....only tylenol.

Yes, Joint pain is definitely a side effect. I was on pred for only 3 weeks, and I thought I was going to die with the pain in my knees and hands. I thought that I was paralized in my right hand for awhile, for I could not move my fingers. It was scary.
All went away after I got off the pred
