SSRI WITHDRAW

My husband is in the process of ssri whithdraw! Does anyone have any suggestions. We are beginning acupuncture. Particularly with the emotional blunting that has taken place? I just want my husband back!

What is he on and what's the dosage?

Does your husband have UC?

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what does "ssri" mean?

If the taper is done under the guidance of his physician I would think the side effects would be minimal. I tapered off once and the side effects I experienced concerned my doctor and she believed I needed a couple more years on them. The second time I tapered, very slowly, I had no side effects. Is your husband following a tapering program? If the emotional impact is great he might want to taper more slowly. In any event I think a doctor should be involved.

Google zoloft side effects and withdrawl and you will be amazed.

My wife got a script for liquid zoloft and took 6 months to taper to zero to avoid the dizzyness etc. I can be done, but it is hard!
