When should I lower my Colazal dosage?

Hey guys! Couple of weeks ago I saw some mucous and blood in my stool. It occurred twice in 2 days. I immediately upped my Colazal from 6/day to 9/day and used Canasa. Cleared right up (thank goodness)! Anyway my question is when should I taper back to 6/day. I don't want to rush anything. Just wanted to get your opinions. Thanks!

I would say give it another couple weeks of no symptoms before you start to taper down again, just to be on the safe side.

I would give it a month or two with no symptoms and then try taking ONE pill away every few weeks until you get to your maintenance dose.

No. I used it for a week or was it two (sorry my son had pneumonia a couple of weeks ago and the days ran together). I only had symptoms for 2 days. Oh gosh...should I still be?!

The recommended dose is 3 pills 3 times a day..

They are harmless..
