Does anyone know about
this or had it done ? I'm wondering how the pictures are taken of the heart I only know I will be doing one at rest and the following day doing one with treadmill test both days , IV invection of tetrofosmin . heres how it reads on the prestudy test sheet ...arrive 20 minutes prior to your test both days no caffiene for 24hrs prior to you exam .
A registered nurse or technologist will take a breif medical history .After test has been explained you will be asked to sign a consent form . You will then get an injectionof aradioactive material called tetrofosmin which will show the blood flow to your heart muscle at rest . After 20-30 minute wait ,a25 minute scan is taken of your heart .
day two same thing except
.....your heart will be stressed either by walking on a treadmill or by injecting a medication this will be followed by another injection of tetrofosmin. After 15 to 45 minute wiating period , the pictures of your heart are then repeated .
I'm curious do they mean catheteroscopy or xray , or ultrasound (echocardiogram)
