Concerned

I recently had abdominal surgery and on the second day I started filling up with fluid. They wouldnt do anything... my IV's were even popping out because I had so much fluid on me. The more I was up walking the worse I seemed to fill up. Every day that I saw the doctor he would ask about my stomach and I told him my stomach was good but what about the fluid it was hard for me to breathe. He said it was an underlining problem and went on. well they released me that monday with just a perscription of percocet. I immediately drove to my doc who was pissed they sent me home and gave me lasix's and potassium. I had 32 pounds of fluid on me. I went him and my husband went out to get my meds and I dont know what happened but i ended up on my bathroom's floor... I was able to reach my phone in which I called the last number which was my 16 year old daughter who I told her I needed help. My o2 stats were 79 percent. I was squaded to a different hospital because my first on was on diversion. Long story short I was admitted for 2nd stage congestion heart failure. I spent 3 more days for them to drain me. Now... does that mean that I now have congested heart failure and that it can come back. My momma passed away a year ago at the age of 55 from congested heart failure. I dont want to suffer for years like she did. Any suggestions?

No, I havent had any symptoms or problems before. Although my mom passed away a year ago from congestive heart failure and CAD. They said mine was from the stress of the surgery. I wasnt sure if I should be checked now by a cardiologist or just wait and see if it happens again.
