I was wondering if anyone else has these problems. I have mitral value prolapse. For some reason I can't ever stand to be hot or over heated so in the summer if am outside I have be very careful because if I don't have cold drink with me or something get this bad feeling in my chest and whenever just do the littest things that people think so easy just like doing laudry . I get out of breath and shortness of breath and get very weak and faint looking then get bad feeling in my chest where like kind don't ever want to get telling me not go any far there or else something bad happen. Few times whenever that feeling happen i would start blacking out and pasting out. Also sometimes my legs so dead cold or whatever if I don't even moving them I lose feeling in them can't feel them at all.Then because hard for me to walk and then alot of times whenever get up or whatever from sitting position or laying so weak and almost past out. But my doctor check my blood pressure and said it wasn't the problem so I don't know what else it could..

Treatment of MVP consists of several different therapies, all of which are important. To successfully relieve MVP symptoms these therapies are important. I am wondering what your physician has ordered for you as far as treating your sx?

I have had ultra sounds every year or whatever and heart moniters few different times and they said my heart sometimes beats way to fast. Also whenever I tell them all stuff am experiencing they really don't know what to say.

I would seek out a new cardiologist if the one you are seeing cannot provide you with better input into your MVP. I really like to see people be their own best advocate and sometimes that does mean getting a second opinion. I am sorry you are not getting the information and attention you seem to need.


I know you must be feeling very frustrated.
